On Writes and Write-Nots
Paul Graham recently wrote an interesting blog post about how AI will change writing.
In short, he predicts that writers will fall into two categories: those who can write well (“Writes”) and those who can’t (“Write-Nots”). The middle ground—average writers—will disappear because AI can handle that level of writing.
But if fewer people write, fewer people think clearly, since writing is thinking.
That means those who choose to write will have a significant advantage over those who don’t.
